Dr. Yvonne Brown, ND utilizes a combination of modalities to create the most effective treatment plan for the patient. As an Eastern Medicine and Acupuncture specialist, Dr. Brown focuses on the use of acupuncture and herbal remedies in her practice.
In addition to her formal education at the Southern College of Naturopathy, Dominion Herbal College, Sports Medicine Training Institute and University of Windsor, Dr. Brown has studied under Chinese QiGong Masters in Los Angeles and Toronto, as well as apprenticed with Chinese medicine doctors in Michigan and Ontario. She received acupuncture certifications from United Medicine of China and the Training Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine where she complete residencies in 2001 and 2002 in Beijing and Tibet.
Dr. Brown has come from a background in Sports Medicine where she worked with professional athletes from the Detroit Shock, Anaheim Angels and San Francisco Giants, as well as the Irish dance troup 'Riverdance the Show'. It is the combination of her education and experience as an athletic therapist in addition to her advanced studies in Naturopathy which enables her to effectively treat physical ailments as well as internal illnesses.
Dr. Brown has been practicing Chinese Medicine and Naturopathy in Michigan since 1999.
